When can I get a book accommodation online?
When can you get a hotel accommodation online in the United States?
The short answer is, not very often.
But a new study by the Center for International Education (CIE) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) suggests that if you’re willing to take the risk, you can get an affordable apartment in the New York City area, even for students.
The research, which was published in the Journal of Educational Marketing, found that, for students who are earning less than $30,000 a year, it can be worth it to rent an apartment in a large city, with a good view of Manhattan, for an average of $2,200 a month.
But the cost of rent in Manhattan is about $7,400, according to the NCES.
“When you’re looking at this as an undergraduate student, you don’t want to rent in a dormitory,” said Jennifer Hodge, the chief academic officer for the National Association of Student Recruiting Organizations (NASRO).
“The cost of living is way higher in Manhattan than anywhere else.”
The study looked at the cost to rent for students living in NYC apartments for two years, with the rent included.
It found that the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan was $1,500 per month, or about $16,600 in 2018 dollars.
The average rent in Queens, which is home to more than 100,000 students, is about the same as in Manhattan.
But those are not the best places to live.
For students earning less that $30 or less, rent in NYC was about $1 per month more than in other major cities.
The study found that a two-bedroom rental in Manhattan cost about $2 per month less than a one bedroom in Queens.
But the study also found that renting in Manhattan for two-year students could still be a good idea, and that renting a two bedroom apartment would give students the ability to get the most out of the available space, including a great view of the Manhattan skyline.
“There’s a great connection to Manhattan,” said Hodge.
“There’s an incredible amount of space in Manhattan, and it’s an affordable place to live for a lot of students.”
So, for those students earning under $30K a year and willing to be a little more frugal, it’s worth it for an apartment on the Upper East Side.
But even for people making less than that, renting an apartment with a view of downtown Manhattan could be worth the money.
The study found students who rent an apartments near the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn Navy Yard are able to save money by using the subway to go to classes or get a quick lunch or dinner out of town.
“That is a great way to save rent,” said Michael Hodge of NASRO.
“The subway gives you the opportunity to get to the gym, which saves a lot.
So if you live near the subway, then you can save some rent.”
But if you want to take that opportunity and go live in the city, it may be worth a little extra money.
“The more expensive apartments in Manhattan are the ones that have views of Manhattan,” Hodge said.
“If you’re not a really big fan of the skyline, then there’s a lot more space to explore.”
But the research also found apartments that are close to the Museum and Brooklyn Navy Yards are also cheaper than those that are farther away.
Renting an apartment that is a few blocks away from either location will save you money.
